The Saint - Opening sequence

The sound track to Roger moore's 1962 -64 series "the Saint" is an ode to the lush, Mod" london -in-the-60's sound , sexy, swingy - and for those of you to young to remember the pre-James Bond looks of Moore - check him out.

This was shown on IBC 13 in the early 70's

UFO - tight chicks and men in fish net sweaters -

"super-hotties in futuristic mini-skirts, shiny boots and clingy sweaters, with punked-out pink / violet hair...pronouncing the word commander - commadahh.."

One cutting -edge series that came out of the tube in the 70's that totally shaped a generations perception on what cool will always be measured against is the uber slick brit sci-fi series UFO.

Created by Gerry and Sylvia anderson UFO was the Anderson's first totally live-action TV series. Despite the assumption of many TV station executives, the series was not aimed at children, but deliberately sought an older audience, with many episodes featuring adult themes such as adultery, divorce, and drug use

The chicks were soooo hot and they were all over the futuristic SHADO compound hunting down UFO's - the soundtrack was ultra -hip, loungey, that hammond organ, and it has to have one of the best opening sequences to a series ( along with mission impossible)

the production design was fantastic, you had the hotties always populating the shots, youd have a nice behind crossing the hallways and the assistant with the tight sweater was always in the shot..these britts knew sexy and the whole series was a delicious 42 minutes of visual seduction

The Andersons also produced "Thunderbirds are go and space 1999" how cool can you get?

I was six years old and couldn't get enough of this show..it was the coolest thing on the black and white...

enjoy the video.
